February 18, 2021Most of the orders that we fulfill here at 4C Print Shop, get shipped out via the United States Postal Service. This mail service is the reason we can effectively ship our customer’s orders in a timely fashion.
The United States Postal Service (USPS) first began around the early 1700s. The first mail carriers called, Post Riders traveled by horse transporting mail. Nearing the 19th century, steamboats started shipping mail to and from different ports. A little less than a decade later, railroads emerged and also began transporting mail. Close to the mid-1800s, postage stamps were established thus making paying for mail more convenient. Then in 1855 registered mail began, informing senders when their mail had been delivered to its desired location. Much like today, instead the sender or recipient receives an electronic confirmation that typically provides a tracking number. This is called Informed Delivery, established nationwide in 2017.
During the late 1800s, land in the west was still very unfamiliar. Thus sparking the existence of the Pony Express, created to reach parts of our nation that were difficult to access with other forms of transportation, especially in extreme weather conditions. Moving into the 1900s, our nation began to look for ways to quicken the delivery time for long distance travels. This started the use of airplanes in the Post Office Department, known as Airmail.
Thankfully, USPS keeps mail in circulation 24/7, which allows us to meet the needs of our customers’ desires of fast and simple shipping no matter where you live in the United States. From the very beginning, the postal service has dedicated its efforts to carry and deliver mail efficiently. For this reason, 4C Print Shop chooses to effectively ship through the US Postal Service, because we care about our customers and strive to provide the best services!
