We asked one of our long time customers known as “Soldiers and Commanders” to tell us more about their business and how they give back to the community with every purchase! Here is what they had to say!

When Derrek Cooke and Eric Atkins started a website 9 years ago on all things related to military history, they could not have imagined the impact it would have on them and their community.

Best friends, Eric and Derrek decided to start a website called Soldiers and Commanders. With a deep love of military history, it was really just a hobby for them. They wrote articles on various military events and history. Their website also featured all original artwork designed and created by them.

After a couple years they found they had a following from fans who shared their love of military and expressed interest in buying products related to the military. From there, they decided to take their website to the next level. They began offering custom apparel and items such as posters, bags, and other household items. Giving back to the community was very important to them. A minimum of 15% of all profits are donated to the non-profit organization, The Battle Buddy Foundation. The Battle Buddy Foundation is dedicated to assisting veterans of all eras by helping them to acquire service dogs. The foundation also promotes awareness of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).

As their company continued to grow, they began searching for fulfillment companies that offered great print on demand products and allowed them to be in control of their sales and items. After seeing 4C Print Shop’s core values, mission statement, and reviews, they were excited to get a free sample! Once they began working with us it was the beginning of a great partnership.

Today, Soldiers and Commanders are doing better than ever and they don’t plan on stopping. When questioned about the future of their shop, Eric said, “We want to be the best custom military and patriotic store out there!” I asked the duo what advice they would give new entrepreneurs about looking for an order fulfillment company. They were able to sum it up, “Research! Research everything about the potential company. What they stand for, what they offer, and what other customers are saying about them.”
