There is a very simple way to bring color and life into a garment just by getting a print on it. These days garment printing has become very simple and less time consuming. You can get any picture of your choice printed on the garment. There are mainly two techniques that are used for t-shirt printing. One is scree printing and the other is digital printing. The method of screen printing dates back many thousand years and has not advanced much over the years. The latest technology in this field is digital garment printing it can also be called direct to garment printing. This technique uses a modified version of inkjet printer which directly prints the image on to the garment.

This method is useful in making custom made garments. As the time required to print is less therefore the customer can choose a design and it can be printed directly on the garment without making the customer wait for a long time. The one complaint that a customer has when buying heat transfer printed garments is that the print feels like a kind of patch, that is not one with the garment. There is no such complaint in this technique of printing as the design is printed on to the fabric and it feels same as the fabric. It is the latest technology and is therefore a bit expensive than the traditional methods of printing.

The direct to garment printing is a new process that allows full color printing on any fabric without the use of any type of screen. The printer used is generally an Epson printer. It works in a similar way as a paper printer works. There is a tray containing platen on which t-shirt is placed, this tray moves below the print-head as a paper moves and the printing is done. This technology was first used on 100% cotton fabric. These are still the most excellent mediums as it gives the best finishing to the print mediums as it gives the best finishing to the print.
